Prerequisites:  Puppy Kindergarten or Household Manners or something equivalent, and a desire to improve your training skills beyond the basic level.

Hybrid FCOOL (Fundamentals of Competition Obedience Online) is a competition obedience course that combines online instructional videos and downloadable handouts with a once-a-week in-person class. This class is geared toward puppies and young adult dogs with some basic training and trainers who are interested in training for obedience and Rally titles.

In the course, you will learn how to begin teaching a wide variety of crucial skills for competition-bound puppies. These include different techniques for training with food; attention, position changes (sit, down, stand), cookie-toss recalls, beginning sit stay, perch and platform work, beginning target work, beginning retrieve work, and general handling for grooming and veterinary care. All the video lessons are hosted on the Thinkific platform. A working spot in the course gives you a chance to get feedback from Adele during the in-person class meetings, scheduled every week. In addition to the 6 weeks of in-person classes, you will have full access to all of the course video lessons for a full 6 months from when you start the lessons. The expectation is that you will watch the lesson videos, practice them at home, and then come to class to get feedback on your progress from Adele.

Once you register for the course, we will sign you up on the Thinkific website, where you will watch the lesson videos each week, as well as download the handouts for the course.
